T-minus 3 Days

7:00am: Computer work for my *Other* job

8:00am: Preparing for my dentist appointment (that's right, I'm a huge p*ssy about the dentist)

9:00am - 11:30am: Drilling and filling at the dentist

12:00pm - 2:00pm: Sleeping off the hefty valium dose

2:00pm: Sneaking a pic of the guys while I'm still a little fuzzy headed 

2:30pm: Coffee up and GET TO WORK!

2:40pm: Open and inspect the new merch, and as you can see by my eyes, I'm still feeling the pain from the dentist, but the show must go on!

9:00pm: Stop and eat dinner 

I haven't been able to eat much solid foods in the past 3 weeks, fuckin' awesome.
So if you see me on tour and want to buy me dinner or a snack, get some of these for me, LOL!
(Or tequilla, that'll do too ;)

Next shipment comes tomorrow - maybe I should start thinking about packing my own clothes too?

Totes Magotes!

Picked up supplies today. I decided to treat myself to new merch totes (how's that for exciting news?). My poor old merch tubs have been loaded in and out of about 100 shows and been bounced around the trailer for thousands and thousands of miles, and it's time for them to retire.

I totally didn't expect the new ones to fit in my little Toyota, but I guess it was just meant to be.

I Think I'm Busy This Week...

Here's my timeline:

Friday (tomorrow): Drive 500 miles to drop off the dog. 

Saturday: Hang with my parents and the dogs in Florida. 

Sunday: Drive 500 miles back home. 

Monday: Get root canal treatment on infected tooth. 

Tuesday: Work. 

Wednesday: Sort, count, and fold Merch. 

Thursday: Two deep fillings (more dental work). 

Friday and Saturday: Sort, count, and fold more boxes of Merch, build displays, buy supplies, repack merch in some way that makes sense, pack clothes, and get house ready. 

Sunday: Leave for tour. 

I think I'm busy this week.

Houston, prepare for lift-off!

I'm a bad person, I know. I've only filled in this blog for one tour, and that was, like, 2 years ago. Well, I'm going to work on that, I promise! (Can you hear the remorseful kid tone in that? Don't worry, it's there ;)

So here we are. Just a little nudge to get the momentum going, because a blog in motion tends to stay in motion.
We leave for the U.S. and Canada tour on April 13th. Today I counted the merch left over from the last tour and Karl and I did a little bit of work in the band warehouse.

I am woman, hear me CLEAN!

I apologize in advance to the few Nile fans who will be receiving merch with dog hair on it.
I swear I vacuumed before laying those hoodies out!

Aww hoodies, I love you, but not as much as I love ice cream.

They actually smelled surprisingly fresh for being in the band room warehouse for a year...

Tour Wrap Up Post

Well, the tour is over and I'd have to say that yes, it was a success! All band members and crew on this tour were just awesome. I actually didn't interact much with the Black Dahlia Murder guys, as we were in opposite parts of the clubs every night, but their tour manager Mike was always cool and ready to help. The SkeletonWitch guys were remarkably nice, funny, and cool. A real pleasure to be around, and always put on an awesome show with lots of energy!
We did a bus-share with Hour of Penance who were also part of our crew, and they were super cool as well. (Let's see how many times I can use the word "cool" in one paragraph).
A HUGE thanks to Alison Webster for taking over my job at home while I was out on tour. You ROCK! (Even if she's not reading this, she still rocks, haha).

Now time to mow this crazy yard (it hasn't been mowed in a month), pay the bills (yes, bills still come even when you're not home), and reset to "Home Mode".

By the way, Nile's newest album will be released on July 3rd (June 29 in Europe)!

Slipped Disc

Ouch! I seem to have a slipped disc in my upper back (yay for tour bus beds!) - Maye I'll be able to hit up a Chiropractor in PA on our "day off" and spend half a week's pay to fix it, haha.
